mātrā-with one's mother; svasrā-with one's sister; duhitrā-with one's daughter; -or; -not; vivikta-āsanaḥ-sitting together; bhavet-there should be; balavān-very strong; indriya-grāmaḥ-the group of senses; vidvāṁsam-a person with knowledge of liberation; api-even; karṣati-attract.
" 'One should not sit closely with one's mother, sister or daughter, for the senses are so strong that they may attract even a person advanced in knowledge.'

This verse appears in the Manu-saṁhitā (2.215) and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (9.19.17).
